WASTRAQ is the smart waste management software powering municipal corporations,
supervisors, and collection teams across 40+ countries. Join us and work on
technology that makes cities cleaner, operations smarter, and the planet healthier.
We are rebuilding waste management from the ground up — and we need people who care.
Every city in the world depends on waste collection infrastructure that has barely changed
in decades. WASTRAQ exists to change that — through intelligent software, better data, and
a team genuinely passionate about the impact of what they build. If that mission resonates
with you, you belong here.
"The best engineers, operators, and field professionals we have hired share one thing:
they want to work on something that matters. WASTRAQ is that platform."
— Founding Team, WASTRAQ
Why WASTRAQ
Built for People Who Want to Do Great Work
We offer more than a job. We offer ownership, purpose, and the chance to work on a
municipal waste solution that genuinely changes how cities operate.
Real-World Impact
Your work goes live in municipalities and waste fleets within days of shipping.
The features you build are used by thousands of drivers, supervisors, and
municipal operators every single day.
Distributed-First Culture
Work from where you do your best work. Our team spans multiple countries and
time zones. We invest in strong async communication, documented decisions, and
regular team gatherings.
Competitive Compensation
We pay at or above market rates for every role, with equity options for
senior hires. Compensation is reviewed annually and tied to both individual
performance and company growth milestones.
Learning and Development
Each team member receives an annual professional development budget for
courses, conferences, and certifications. We actively support internal
mobility and promotions from within.
Flexible Working
Flexible hours, generous holiday allowance, and a no-questions-asked
approach to time off. We trust you to manage your schedule and deliver.
Results matter more than clock-watching.
Health and Wellbeing
Private health insurance, mental health support access, wellness allowance,
and regular team social events. We take care of our people so they can do
their best work.
How We Work
A Culture Built on Ownership, Honesty, and Delivery
We do not have layers of approval or endless meetings. Every person at WASTRAQ
owns a meaningful part of the product or the business, and we trust them to drive
it forward. We have high standards, but we back our team with the tools, context,
and time they need to meet them.
Our waste management platform team is made up of engineers who think about
operators, operators who think about product, and field specialists who inform
both. That cross-functional way of working produces better outcomes — for our
customers and for the people building it.

Modern Toolstack
We use the best tools available. Engineers choose their own development environment and contribute to
tooling decisions directly.
Flat Structure
No unnecessary hierarchy. Ideas are evaluated on merit, not seniority. Everyone ships, everyone speaks
directly with customers.
Globally Distributed
Our team operates across multiple time zones. We have invested heavily in async documentation,
communication norms, and quarterly in-person offsites.
Environmental Purpose
We measure our own carbon footprint and apply the same sustainability principles to how we operate as a
company that we build into our platform.

powerful and simple enough for a driver to use one-handed in a moving vehicle.
Own retention and growth for a portfolio of WASTRAQ customers — primarily
municipal corporations and large-scale commercial waste operators. Build deep
relationships, drive adoption of platform features, and become a trusted
advisor on how to get the most from our smart waste management software.
Work with municipal waste solution customers to optimise their collection routes
using WASTRAQ's RouteTraq AI engine and GIS data. Translate operational requirements
